Getting Ready for race day!!!

The night before any evening race or weekend race here are some things I do.

Getting ready for Motocross is a lot of work.
The night before I eat healthy with no grease or fake sugar to give me energy to ride the next day.  Drink lots of water so your are hydrated.

To start you need to work on your bike and fix everything you broke from the last race.  If all is well you need to do the simple stuff like clean your air filter, change the oil and grease your chain and check tire pressure.

Then because races are all night, you'll need to prepare a meal.  You want to eat healthy grill up some chicken or something light and not greasy to eat.  You don't want to over eat because that will cause tiredness.  But you want to eat enough so you don't fatigue.

When you get out to the race track and get ready you want to go do a track walk/ride.  Usually they will tell you when, then fill your bike with fuel, but not to much because that adds weight.  Then depending on what class I'm in is the order to practice the laps on my bike.  After everyone has been entered the office post a sign telling you what race your in and you need to make sure its the right name and number.  Then put your gear on and go racing.

First off we are going to talk about on the bike posture and technique. First off, body position, body position is so critical in motocross. Such as where you should be stationed on the bike and as well as rolling out of the corner. For 90 degree corners its critical you hit the corner with your leg up and position your body all the way up on your gas tank. This helps the center of gravity so you can whip the bike around and ride out really fast and keep your momentum up for a whoop section or a triple.
when are going around a rolling corner its best to be standing up or if you're not comfortable be sure to sit and hold the gas wide open, there should be no reason for breaks.
